How do I manage the slider images on the home page?
Slider images are the large images that rotate on the main page of your chapter website. The slider area can have one image or many images. If the slider has multiple images, the images will rotate. For optimal viewing experience and website performance, use no more than 3-5 slider images.
- If you have an upcoming event, the slider area is a great place to promote your events.
- You have the ability to link a slider image to another page on your website (internal link) or another website (external link). For example, you could create a slider image for an event and then link it to an eventbrite.com page for ticket purchasing.
Creating Slider Images
Slider image dimensions must be 915 pixels wide and 374 pixels tall in order to properly display in the slider area. Use a graphic editing software such as PhotoShop or a free solution such as GIMP to create your slider images. Download free slider image templates for your organization below. These free images are sized correctly and can be used as the starting point for your slider images.
